Urgent: Help Neighbors Impacted by Shutdown

We are now over a month into the government shutdown. While SNAP benefits for November were not going to be funded, the government has now announced it will partially fund benefits using money from a USDA contingency fund. However, it is unclear how quickly those benefits will be distributed. Working through the logistics of payments could take weeks or months.

There are 200,000 people, including 88,000 children who receive SNAP benefits in Harvesters’ service area.
